| The historic Sonoma Plaza is located just a short drive from Daisy's Place. Rarely a weekend passes without an event on the Plaza--arts and crafts exhibits, barbeques, wine tasting just to name a few. The plaza is loaded with unique gift shops and some of the finest dining to be found in all of Northern California.

An abundance of wineries share our neighborhood, including, Homewood, (our nearest neighborly vintners), Ravenswood, Bartholomew Park,Buena Vista, Gloria Ferrer, and Viansa, just to name a few. A short yet scenic ten minute drive east will land you in Napa wine country. Without even entering the city limits you can visit such wineries as Artesa, Acacia, and Domaine Carneros.

For cycling enthusiasts, bike rentals are available at our local bike shop, Sonoma Valley Cyclery located on Broadway in Sonoma, across from the high school. Here you can rent hybrid touring bikes or mountain bikes. Ask about guided cycling tours. We can provide directions for our favorite rides, or you can pick up a map at the bike shop for some wine tasting on wheels! We also have available for $5.00 (all proceeds to SCBC) the Sonoma County Bicycling Coalition’s complete map of cycling in Sonoma County. It’s a great place to get around on 2 wheels for the serious cyclist and recreational cyclist alike. If you bring your own bikes, feel free to keep them in the house.

Hikers will want to check out the wetlands at Viansa, or hike Jack London Park in Glen Ellen. With reservations, the famous Bouverie Audubon preserve offers waterfalls, pristine views and private hikes. For close to home walks, go out the backdoor, cross the creek, and there are hundreds of acres of vineyards to stroll through. Explore the creek, or just wander around and enjoy the scenery.
Infineon Raceway is a 10 minute drive from Daisy’s and racing season is always a busy time. Reserve early for race weeks/weekends.
